Moscheze is Moscheze
Laboratory based on the music of Russian folklore
The Russian language and its musicality provide the source material for Moscheze is Moscheze. Based on snippets from stories and melancholic songs, seven actors devise an original polyphonic language of musical theatre based on little everyday moments of madness – obsessions, physical or verbal tics – rarely seen on stage. As in jazz, using leitmotifs and variations the actors intuitively construct the theatrical material, thus inventing an imaginary language consisting of song, words, silences and insane actions.
